When you hear the word insulation, you might not think about your pipes, but did you know that pipe insulation can be the solution to many issues in a home?
If you have a lot of condensation forming on the cold water pipes in your home during humid days, insulating them can stop this. This is important since condensation could encourage insect infestations and mold growth, just to mention a few problems.
If your cold water isn’t cold when it comes out of the faucet, or if your hot water isn’t hot, it could be because of the pipes being too close to one another, or because they are running through an uninsulated area of your home. Insulating your pipes will fix this as well.
If your pipes are very noisy, it could be an indication of a problem, but if you just get annoyed with the sound that the water makes running through the pipes, you should insulate them.
As you can see, there are many benefits to insulating your pipes, so if you haven’t done so already, maybe you should look into getting it done?
