While many people are very glad to be getting closer to the end of wearing masks, a form of Personal Protective Equipment (or, PPE), the fact remains that PPE is going to be around as long as there are safety hazards in life. While PPE is the least desirable form of hazard control, it can still be extremely valuable, even life-saving.
Unfortunately, many people feel that PPE is only needed when it’s mandated by an employer. However, others feel that PPE is always important, even choosing to wear PPE when going about everyday tasks in their home. If you’re interested in keeping yourself and your family safe and having full use of all their appendages, this could be a good practice to get involved in. Wearing safety glasses, gloves, and even a hard hat when caring for various maintenance tasks around your house can do a lot to help you avoid safety hazards and the consequences that come from them.
